After 30 plus hours in hard delivery, Jessica delivered her twins while family and friends waited patiently in the St. Mark’s Hospital waiting room. She came through as a trooper and although exhausted, she was full of smiles and joy posing for pictures and basking in the moment.

Born first was Rolf David Dixon III, followed about an hour later by Patricia Jean Dixon. Patricia’s nickname has been and will continue to be Poppy. Here are a couple photos just about an hour after their coming into the world.

NOTE: Both had to immediately go to the NICU, but are expected to recover from the 30 plus hour hospital labor and should be released after a 24 hour watch. Don’t let all of the monitor hook-ups scare you. Rolf is under a cool oxygen bubble.

Family & Friends:
After over 30 hours of hospital labor, Jessica pushed through the exhaustion and delivered two precious little babies. That makes me a proud first and second time Grandpa, with the responsibility of getting this email sent to all of you.

HEALTH: Jessica was doing well after delivery, but is confined to her bed away from the babies for 24 hours (Hospital policy for preeclampsia (?)). Rolf and Poppy are in the NICU for the same reason, yet all 3 are expected to recover well and be re-united later this evening.

Shannon: Jessica and Dave just moved into a small house out near the Rocky Mountain Raceway near Magna. If you get the present to our home in Orem, then we can deliver it to them.
